Position Summary

Exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Liang lab in the department of Physiology, Pharmacology and Toxicology and Applied Immunology Center for Education and Research Program at Michigan State University. The Liang lab offers a rich and collaborative environment as well as training opportunities for state-of-the-art technologies in translational medicine.

Our lab is interested in understanding the molecular basis of autoimmune diseases, with the ultimate goal of finding cures for these debilitating diseases. To achieve this goal, we use a combination of technologies including cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, -omics, animal models and bioengineering approaches, and we work in close collaboration with physician-scientists for translational studies. The specifics of the research project can be flexible, and will be developed to aid the career development of the candidate. Promoting professional growth is one core value in our Lab. There will be opportunities to develop a career development plan with the principal investigator, to participate in professional development activities, and to build techniques that will assist career growth.

Successful candidates should have a doctorate degree in biological sciences, biomedical sciences, or related field. Expertise in cell biology, -omics or animal work is highly desired. Our lab is funded by several NIH awards.
