Job Responsibilities

The Trident Technical College Foundation exists to advocate and raise funds for the college to support the region's economy.

This position's primary responsibility is to provide administrative and technical support to the Vice President for Development/Executive Director of the Trident Technical College Foundation. This position will also work closely with the TTC Foundation Director of Business Operations and the TTC Foundation Board of Trustees. Candidate will support the TTC Foundation Board of Trustees by maintaining the trustee roster, drafting correspondence, and preparing meeting agendas, materials, and minutes. Candidate will also provide budget management and procurement support for the department and TTC Foundation. Candidate will work closely with Development colleagues to support Foundation events and special programs.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience. Preferred candidates will have a bachelor's degree and two (2) years relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services; or an associate degree and four (4) years of relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have three (3) plus years of experience as a senior administrative assistant supporting executive-level leadership. Experience working in a non-profit/philanthropy environment (including Board of Directors support) or engaging with external constituents is preferred. Experience using Raisers Edge, Financial Edge, and/or other fundraising or accounting software is also preferred. Ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of traditional administrative responsibilities managing calendars, scheduling internal and external meetings, ordering supplies, drafting professional meeting agendas, taking meeting minutes, and preparing meeting materials. Candidate will also be able to manage budgets, monitor expenses, and produce required financial reports. Applicant must display self-direction, leadership, cooperation and initiative and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint). Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and customer service skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential.
