Job Responsibilities

The Director of Infrastructure Services reports to the Vice President for Information Technology. This position will oversee the structured life-cycle management and maintenance of the College’s data, voice, wired, wireless networks, SaaS, and on-premise applications, including related storage. As the director, this position will manage the Network Support and Data Center Support teams and provide leadership and direction for cyber security applications, data, voice communications, all network hardware, cloud and on-premises software applications, and related storage components. To include preparing departmental and construction budgets, setting priorities and deadlines for all departmental projects, and strategic direction and oversite for the College’s cyber security posture, applications, and related hardware.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, computer science (information technology), mathematics, statistics; management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology. Preferred applicant will also have five (5) years experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology to include supervisory experience leading a team. Must also possess a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the principles and techniques of planning work activities in an information technology environment. Extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level systems architecture and understanding cyber security principles is essential. The ability to plan and supervise the implementation of short and long-range information technology projects and objectives, to direct and review the work of technical personnel, and to establish and maintain working relationships with users, management, technical staff, faculty, staff, vendors, and others is a must. Successful candidate will have demonstrated working experience in a wide-ranging knowledge and skills of the IT industry, including multi-tiered architectures, enterprise applications, wired and wireless networks, data management systems, and data center software and hardware systems is also a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
