WCTC Small Business Center is looking for experienced dynamic part-time adjunct faculty to join our TALENT community! We are seeking individuals who are passionate about working with micro-entrepreneurs to help start and grow their business. If you are someone who gets energized about helping others navigate through business-related questions and an action-oriented leader then we want to hear from you!

This is an on campus part-time adjunct position for non-credit courses. Small business courses vary in length between 1-8 weeks throughout the semester. Courses are held on campus Mon-Thurs between the hours of 5:30-9:30 p.m.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

The Small Business Center offers a variety of affordable non-credit courses that will help entrepreneurs launch and grow a successful small business. As a small business adjunct instructor, you will be responsible teaching non-credit courses in a classroom setting or computer lab, depending on the course. You must have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision and have a strong desire to help entrepreneurs succeed. Must be willing to follow college policies and procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Experience launching and owning a small business. Knowledge of specific areas of small business start-ups including bookkeeping, business planning, business law, insurance, marketing, and taxes.
  • Knowledge of writing business plans. Familiarity with LivePlan software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online is a plus.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with social media platforms
  • Comfortable using technology in the classroom including but now limited to docucam, presentation software, web technologies, operating systems, and AV/multimedia applications and equipment and Zoom.
  • Effective interpersonal skills including working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong oral, written, and active listening skills.
  • Education and Experience Requirements

    1. Experience launching a small business and/or assisting small business owners or entrepreneurs. Associate's or bachelors degree preferred. Supplemental Information
