Colleague Systems Administrator


The Office of Information Technology Services at Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the position: Colleague Systems Administrator. The Colleague Systems Administrator administers the university’s ERP system, Colleague by Ellucian. This is an on-site position.
Duties include, but are not limited to:· Performs all software and hardware installations, configuring, maintenance, and monitoring of the university-wide ERP, Colleague by Ellucian. These duties include all advanced design, development, and maintenance of IT systems related to Colleague system administration.· Maintains colleague security, roles, and related technical documentation. Ensures that updates are applied to systems in a timely manner. Manages all Colleague security classes and access.· Manages user account provisioning/de-provisioning, and interfaces with Active Directory.· Ensures availability of data backup and disaster recovery.· Assists with the administration and data interface with Ellucian Cloud Solutions such as Ellucian Experience, Ethos Integration, Analytics, and E-Transcripts. Maintains roles and security. Collaborates with ITS colleagues to ensure processes perform efficiently across all areas for University stakeholders.· Assists supervisor, Enterprise System Support Services units, and other ITS units with improving operational procedures, processes, and standards as well as change management procedures in alignment and collaboration with ITS goals and objectives to advance the University mission.· Ensures and maintains information security and confidentiality.· Serves as a primary resource to the ITS Colleague ERP programmers team to resolve programming and integration specification and automation issues.· Assists in troubleshooting and restoring services by analyzing, identifying, and diagnosing faults. Works with the software and hardware vendors to resolve issues and correct errors.· Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, at least three (3) to five (5) years of related experience, and experience in computer system development and modification are required. Relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis. A master’s degree in Information Systems or Business Administration and five (5) years of experience in Ellucian ERP system development are preferred.

Information Systems / Business Analyst III (AM05/61121269/FTE-S00732P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 07. Salary range: $52,357.00 (minimum)- $96,869.00 (maximum). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. Flexible work hours are required to include night and weekend hours. Some travel may be required. Information confidentiality is highly critical.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. At least (3-5) years of related experience. Experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Information Systems or Business Administration preferred. Five (5) years of experience in Ellucian ERP system development.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Advanced experience in the design, development, and administration of complex relational databases and database applications. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
