Position Summary

Do you have a special talent, skill, or body of knowledge that you want to share? Monroe County Community College’s Office of Lifelong Learning is continually seeking instructors to develop and teach non-credit courses offered intermittently throughout the year. We offer classes on a wide range of topics with new classes every semester.

Our fun & leisure classes are taught by qualified instructors just like you. With a mixture of classes to choose from, Lifelong Learning classes appeal to every learner and you may find your unique skills are the perfect match.Essential Job Functions

Monroe County Community College's Lifelong Learning classes offer an opportunity to discover a new activity, explore a new hobby, develop new skills, and cultivate new friendships. The Lifelong Learning program invites all adults who find joy in learning to join our personal enrichment classes. The courses are primarily hands-on, interactive classes taught in face-to-face sessions. These short-term classes, which may be offered on an occasional basis, run at various times throughout the year.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching and/or corporate training experience in a K-12, college and/or corporate setting; Experience using educational technology or other technology relevant to the discipline.

The 210-acre Main Campus is centrally located in Monroe County with easy access to Detroit and Toledo, Ohio.
