Location: Bayview Medical Center, 5500 East Lombard Street, Baltimore MD 21224

Shift:

Limited Time (20 hours)

Rotating Shifts - 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Exempt

Weekend Work Not Required

Summary:

Reports to an assigned Licensed Certified Social Worker. Responsible for assessing the needs of clients and providing counseling or referral to appropriate community service agencies. May provide clinical supervision to social work students. Incumbents may be assigned to specific clinical specialty. Provides relevant input in the development of new Social Work services, and/or improvements to health care delivery systems.

Education/Experience:

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Master's degree in social work and less than six months of previous experience.

Licensure/Certifications:

Current state licensure as LGSW required.

Knowledge/Skills:

Work requires the analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.

Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.

Work requires occasionally reaching and grasping objects.

Work requires regularly using a keyboard to interact with computer system.

Work requires proofreading and/or reviewing documents.
