General Summary

Who We Are
With three campuses along Colorado’s Front Range, Front Range Community College is the state’s largest community college. We enroll close to 28,000 students annually from our diverse service area, which offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities.

Each year approximately 5,000 FRCC students transfer to four-year universities. FRCC offers more than 36 career training programs that prepare students for immediate employment and rewarding careers. Last year, more than 5,000 high school students took concurrent enrollment classes with us, earning college credit without having to pay college tuition. And we were recently ranked as one of the “Top Online Colleges” in the country by Newsweek.

One of FRCC’s main goals is to offer educational excellence for everyone. The college’s strong commitment to student success means we start by creating an inclusive and equitable environment—one where both students and employees feel they belong and are supported. FRCC’s focus on diversity, equity and inclusion is woven into the fabric of our college conversations and decision-making processes. We are actively seeking to hire a workforce that reflects the diversity of our student body.

The college is also an emerging Hispanic Serving Institution. For us, becoming an HSI is an intentional commitment to being a college where our Latinx (and other historically marginalized) students thrive.

FRCC employees and leaders work hard to create a culture of collaboration, innovation and pride. We’re looking to hire people who share these values—along with our commitment to student success, equity and excellence.

Our Nursing Program
The Larimer Campus Nursing Department offers a curriculum designed to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving health care delivery system. Clinical experiences include state-of-the-art acute care centers such as Poudre Valley Hospital, McKee Medical Center, North Colorado Medical Center, and Medical Center of the Rockies as well as diverse settings in long-term care, home health, and community agencies.

We teach and practice in our newly opened Health Care Careers Center (aka Grays Peak), a two-story, 61,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility where we house all current and future health care and nursing education programs. Currently Grays Peak has two nursing skills labs with 12 bed stations each; a high-fidelity simulation suite with practice rooms and simulation stations; a dental suite with a six-chair public-serving clinic, a skills lab, and an X-ray area; an emergency medical services skills lab; a kitchen suite for the integrative health nutrition programs; an integrative health skills lab with massage therapy and yoga space; a medical assisting and phlebotomy skills lab; a nurse aide and medical careers skills lab with 12 bed stations, a mid-fidelity simulation suite with two nursing home testing rooms, two nursing home practice rooms, and two doctor’s office simulation rooms; as well as study rooms, general classrooms, a biology classroom with prep lab, a commons area, and much more.

Our nursing programs include a Nursing Associate of Applied Science (RN/ADN) and a Practical Nursing Certificate (PN). After completion, our students pass the National Council Licensure Examination, NCLEX®RN exams at a rate of 100% (compared to the national mean of 84%).

We are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and consistently ranked among the highest in the nation by independent organizations. This year we are #1 Best Nursing School in Colorado according to RegisteredNursing.org and #6 on the Top 25 Associate Degree in Nursing Programs for 2023 (nationwide) according to Nursing School Hub.

Our faculty enjoy consistent schedules, and they can take the summer off and still get paid. And best of all, they get to influence the future of nursing by shaping the curriculum and skills of the nurses who will soon be stepping in to fill our nation’s nursing shortage.
