Job Description:

-Installation and Support:
  • Installs and configures software according to current documentation and standards; documents any exceptions
  • Maintains current inventory, installation, configuration, support documentation, and vendor contact information for assigned systems
  • Ensures all production systems are monitored within the standard suite of monitoring tools; ensures any system changes are reflected in the dashboards
  • Monitors backups to ensure successful completion; works to resolve any failures
  • Tests system recoverability procedures
  • Test changes, where possible, before implementing in production
  • Follows the Change Management and Root Cause processes according to the current guidelines
  • Audits existing system configuration according to current documentation and standards; researches any discrepancies and documents any exceptions. Actively works to understand and document the data flow and purpose of the system components that make up an application; ensures data flow is depicted in the monitoring dashboards
  • Develops and successfully implements routine processes for system maintenance functions, such as patching
  • Develops testing methodologies to minimize the impact of changes

    -Technical Analysis and Design:
  • Investigates and resolve problems
  • Accurately determines the steps necessary to test, back out, and implement changes
  • Proactively identifies potential problems with the currently installed software and hardware supported by the team; evaluates alternative solutions, makes recommendations, and resolves problems
  • Accurately determines the user impact, teams involved, and the steps necessary to test, back out, and implement changes
    -Project Management:
  • Defines the tasks and time required to complete assigned projects
  • Provides project status updates and escalates any issues
  • Completes projects within the assigned timeline
  • Follows current guidelines for projects established by the department
  • Actively participates in project teams

    Expected Salary:

    $66k-$68.2k

    Minimum Requirements:

    Associate's degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    One year of Exchange, Citrix XenApp, or other Enterprise Application System administration experience.

    Hands-on experience with the following products is desired: Exchange, Citrix XenApp, MS Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Active Directory, VMware, monitoring and administration tools

    Familiarity with the following products is considered a plus: Epic Client Systems software, Citrix NetScalers, Forefront Identity Manager, patch management tools, antivirus software, and SPAM prevention tools.

    Must have demonstrated the ability to research, analyze, and recommend new standards, processes, or technologies to improve system availability, performance, or recoverability.

    Must have demonstrated the ability to define the scope, level of effort, and implementation timeline for assigned projects.

    Must have demonstrated the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve corporate objectives.

    Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Must have outstanding customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical staff and a diverse customer base.
