Job Summary:

This is a grant funded position.

The full-time research assistant is partof the HEALthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD) Study at Oklahoma StateUniversity Center for Health Sciences. The research assistant is responsiblefor recruitment of study subjects, data collection, and conducting supportivetasks that ensure successful research visits for study subjects. The researchassistant will be trained to collect data including survey questionnaires, EEGacquisition, MRI scans with infants, babies, and children, biospecimencollection, biosensors collection, and behavioral assessments. Supportive tasksinclude providing support to additional family members during visits, planningand executing team or board meetings, and preparing for data collection.

Responsibilities:
- Recruitment of research participants, including tracking, collection of personal data, conduct eligibility screenings, and visit local partnering agencies to deliver recruitment material and discuss upcoming projects
- Collect data through questionnaires, biosamples, biosensors, EEG Acquisitions, MRI Support, and behavioral assessments
- Ensure laboratory is prepared for experiments, maintain sterile conditions
- Working with infants, toddlers, young children, and their families to provide support while the family is onsite for study
- Providing support to families and data collection teams during testing
- Attending local and national team meetings and trainings


Environmental Hazards:
Riskto exposure to strong acids/bases.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger,grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Some nights and weekend work is required
- 1-2 years of previous experience working in an infant and/or child development lab and collecting data with infants and children

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and exceptional time-management skills
- Exceptional communication skills including a compassionate and warm communication style
- Fine attention to detail and ability to navigate complex protocols
- Ability to resolve issues in a timely manner and ensure smooth data collection appointments
- Ability to navigate various data collection platforms and project management programs such as Ripple, ASANA, REDCap, and others that may be presented by the National Consortium

Preferred:
- Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred
- Bachelors degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Education or related field
- Experience with data entry, data coding, and (possibly) data analyses
