Job Summary:

Job Summary:

Responsible for the creation, placement and coordination of position advertisements for internal and external communication. Receives, organizes and tracks resumes and applications for all open positions. Responsible for creation, updates, and verification of all job descriptions. Assists new hires in completing background checks and initial employment documents and onboarding activities. Assists in the overall daily operation of the Human Resource Office.

Essential Job Functions:

1.Responsible for the creation, placement and coordination of job postings for internal and external communication, including updating vendors and relevant websites.

2.Responsible for updating and maintains all job descriptions.

3.Receives, organizes, and tracks resumes and applications for all open positions through ATS. Greets and assists job applicants in completing application packet.

4.Greets and assists new hires in completing background check and initial employment documents including E-Verify.

5.Sends recruitment reports to supervisors and track information for compliance reporting.

6.Processes informational requests, such as employment verifications.

7.Completes all mandatory training and participated in a minimum of two professional development each year.

8.Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Education:
Associate Degree or equivalent related experience

Work Experience:

  • Three years’ experience in an office support position.
  • Two years’ experience in a customer service or human resources function.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to handle multiple task and prioritize effectively with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.High degree of integrity; ability to work in a sensitive, highly confidential and professional environment.Must be adaptable to performing under moderate levels of stress, imposed by frequent deadlines, peak workloads and public/student contact.Ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately.Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to a multicultural environment in an effort to work and communicate effectively with all students, faculty, staff and community partners. Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to: office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).Accurate typing/data entry skills and demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail.Ability to work independently and also collaborate within a team environment.Exhibit problem solving skills beyond a set of instructions and adapt to changes when necessary.Ability to make appropriate recommendations based on logical and justifiable reasoning. Ability to use analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret written policies and procedures.Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience working as a Human Resource Recruiter.

Working Conditions:

Work will be performed in an office and classroom environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email and various communication platforms.

Physical Requirements:

  • Duties require extended periods of sitting, talking and listening.
  • Duties require extensive use of computers, telephone and other office equipment.
  • Requires possible lifting of up to 25 lbs. (If an object weights more than 45 lbs., OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift).
