    The Department of Justice, Sociology and History is looking for an instructor to teach criminal justice courses in both Fall and Spring semesters. The duties include preparing for class, delivering course content, grading, and general course management.

    Primary Responsibilities:

      Delivering course contentCourse managementAssessment consistent with department goalsPerform other duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned
    Skills and Experience:

    • MA, JD, PhD in Criminology or related field. For some courses, professional experience will be considered.
    • Strong working knowledge and understanding of established professional codes of ethics and best practices for ...
    • Demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusiveness and cultural competence; experience working with underrepresented students and students from at-risk backgrounds
    • Experience and understanding of current issues and developments in higher education
    • Outstanding verbal, writing, and presentation skills; must be able to communicate and interact effectively with Mount Mary students, employees, and alumnae
    • Exceptional ability to multitask and prioritize projects
    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work with diverse groups, facilitate group process and foster collaborative decision making

    Physical Demands:
