Job Description

The Audio Visual/Infrastructure Administrator II, under direction, performs complex and specialized infrastructure administration support functions, such as troubleshooting, analysis, research, de-bugging, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers large and/or complex client infrastructure systems. Helps design and implement new infrastructure systems or upgrades. Installs and configures infrastructure system software and hardware.

  • Provides technical oversight of infrastructure systems testing and application and conducts infrastructure systems performance analyses and tuning. Assists with routine audits of systems and software.

  • Executes test plans for system upgrades or releases.

  • Analyzes infrastructure system logs and identifies potential issues with systems. Troubleshoots and repairs complex hardware and software for infrastructure systems. Troubleshoots and repairs configuration problems. Troubleshoots routine network problems.

  • Provides Tier II support and assists with Tier III support. Evaluates and follows through on issues and problems until resolved or escalated.

  • Researches, recommends, specifies, and plans for large infrastructure system hardware and software purchases in support of the enterprises’ strategic goals and objectives.

  • Reviews the accuracy of documentation of infrastructure support methods, procedures, and configuration.

  • Implements the evaluation of new technologies to determine their applicability to clients’ needs.

  • Assists project leader with developing work plan and time schedules for projects including outlining phases and identifying personnel and computing equipment requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.

  • Three (3) years of related experience.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Knowledge of basic IT concepts

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
