The Physician Assistant (PA) Program Technology and Simulation Coordinator will be actively involved in the PA program and will oversee the implementation of technical projects that support the program’s mission, vision, and goals. This position, reporting to the PA Program Director, will have responsibilities that support the technology and simulation efforts of the program. Commitments to student achievement and success; collaboration within the PA program, across the College and the community; and diversity and inclusion are crucial to this role.

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate with IT department on all office and classroom IT and AV equipment and monitor changing technology to ensure program has access and is utilizing the latest technologies.
  • Provide tier one technical assistance/troubleshoot classroom A/V equipment, control room technology and simulation equipment. Report and track issues that have been escalated.
  • Responsible for performing routine maintenance and tier one troubleshooting computer hardware and software, audio-visual equipment and mannequin-based simulation devices for solutions for the CLC.
  • Coordinate, communicate and schedule IT system upgrades, network maintenance, for building.
  • Coordinate classroom, mannequin simulation, learning management system and other program device trainings and follow-up sessions for all faculty.
  • Coordinates the operations of the Clinical Learning Center (CLC) including the functioning of patient simulation, part-task trainers, and audiovisual equipment used to conduct simulation-based learning and evaluation of learners.
  • Program simulators for case scenarios.
  • Serves as a resource to faculty using simulation in their courses. Provides technological support to faculty, staff, and standardized patients throughout sessions.
  • Cultivating an inclusive, diverse, and respectful College community. Demonstrate civil and inclusive behavior when interacting with staff, faculty, learners, and visitors to the College. Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or three years of experience in IT related work, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.  Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. IT proficiency,  strong problem-solving skills, ability to identify and solve complex technical issues. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations. Ability to proficiently use standard office equipment, including copier and scanner. Ability to coordinate multiple assignments while meeting required deadlines. Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.

Work Environment:

Most of the work of the incumbent is carried out within a generally accessible, safe, indoor environment.  The incumbent will be required to use a personal computer and associated equipment as well as other office equipment used in the day-to-day operations.  The incumbent may need to deliver various materials on campus requiring the ability to walk or drive or make other travel arrangements.
