Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job:This position is a 1 academic year nine month appointment. It requires the candidate to teach four courses per semester. Course requirements include teaching traditional (lab based) and online courses.
Educational Requirements for the Position:An earned Doctoral degree, or ABD by August 2023, in Engineering Technology or Engineering with areas of interests including product design and development, engineering design and technology, industrial design, machine design, manufacturing and production systems, architectural design, or other areas related to engineering design and development.
Experience Required for the Position:Three years of design industry, college teaching experiences are preferred.
Excellent communication skills are required. Ability to teach traditional (lab based) and online courses is expected. The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate research program. The applicant is expected to help with improving the Engineering Design Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology programs including further development of lab and teaching resources, curriculum development, and application for academic accreditation (i.e., SACS and ABET, ATMAE).
