Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

The Department of Information Technology seeks to be recognized as a collaborative and collegial group of scholars who value excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. The department seeks to be recognized as active in campus leadership and successful in research activities and funding activities involving both undergraduate and graduate students.

The department has over 26 full-time faculty members. The department offers the Bachelor of Applied and the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, Master of Science in Information Technology, an IT minor, serval graduate certificates and two cybersecurity degrees - BS Cyber, and MS Cyber (jointly with the Coles college of Business and the department of Criminal Justice). The department has over 20 full-time faculty members. There are 700+ students majoring in IT undergraduate programs and 300+ students in IT graduate programs. The department participates in the college-wide PhD in CS program, and the department faculty can mentor PhD students in two PhD programs in the college: PhD in CS and PhD in Analytics and Data Science. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor of Information Technology faculty position in the Department of Information Technology beginning August 2023.

Responsibilities

A commitment to excellence in teaching, research and service to the university, department and/or discipline is expected of all non-tenure track faculty.
    Teach 4/4 courses per term (fall/spring) in information technology at both undergraduate and graduate levels. This is a 80% teaching, 10% research, and 10% service workload model. Teaching courses online, hybrid or face-to-face as per department need. Service in the Department or College or University or professional community is expected. Teaching and working with a culturally and an ethnically diverse community

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

An earned Doctorate, or the foreign equivalent, in a computing discipline, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Science, etc. is required.
