The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Houston (UH) invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning in Fall 2023. Particular emphasis is in the broad area of fluid mechanics. The department is home to 31 full-time faculty, ~ 90 doctoral students, ~ 150 master students, and ~ 1,000 undergraduate students. Successful candidates must hold an earned doctorate in an appropriately related field by the time their appointment begins. They are expected to establish a dynamic and internationally recognized research program and to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Furthermore, they must have demonstrated an ability to conduct outstanding independent research and show promise for excellent teaching, mentoring, and entrepreneurship.
