The Department of Accountancy and Taxation in the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston seeks qualified applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track, promotion-eligible Instructional Assistant Professor position, starting Fall 2023. For details about the Department of Accountancy and Taxation, visit the department website at https://www.bauer.uh.edu/departments/accy/.Candidates must be committed to teaching excellence, curriculum development, community engagement, and professional development. Candidates should also have a demonstrated record of academically qualified activities as defined by the AACSB, or be recent graduates with a Ph.D in Accounting from an AACSB accredited school. A professional certification would be a plus. Responsibilities include a 3/3 teaching load in any functional area of accounting at either the undergraduate or graduate level as well as publications in peer-reviewed journals.The Bauer College of Business serves a diverse student population and seeks to recruit and retain a diverse community of scholars. With over 5,700 undergraduate students and over 800 graduate students, the College offers B.B.A. and M.B.A. degrees; M.S. degrees in accountancy, finance, energy management, marketing and supply chain; and Ph.D. degrees in business.
