Job Description/Responsibilities
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The primary responsibilities of this person will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in digital systems design, microprocessor-based systems, field programmable gate arrays, computer architecture, and high-performance computing, or other areas as qualified and needed.

SIUE is a strong advocate of the teacher-scholar model, and therefore, the successful candidate is expected to be active in the design and teaching of classes that have extensive project-based learning activities, publish scholarly work, promote undergraduate research, supervise and mentor graduate students, and participate in service activities. The selected candidate will also be expected to establish and sustain an externally funded research program in a related area.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants are required to have a doctoral degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field at the time of appointment. ABD (all but dissertation) candidates may be considered for the position if all degree requirements are complete prior to the appointment.
