Mount Aloysius College, recognized by ModernThink as a “2022 Great College to Work For,” is searching for qualified candidates to teach coursework in our Religious Studies Program on an adjunct basis during the 2023-2024 Academic Year at the undergraduate level. Adjunct Faculty are needed with a specialty in Christian Health Care Ethics.

Each 15-week course is scheduled to be taught in person at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson. Both daytime and evening teaching opportunities exist. (Online teaching opportunities are not available for Religious Studies Adjunct Faculty at this time.)

Faculty are expected to create an interactive, student-centered learning environment in the classroom. Some basic course materials should be made available to students using the Canvas Learning Management System.

Qualifications

Applicants must have the ability to utilize various teaching methods and effectively incorporate technology into the teaching/learning process. A Master's degree in Theology, Philosophy, or related field is required. Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written, are required. Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level is strongly preferred. Experience using Canvas Learning Management System, or similar LMS preferred.

Adjunct appointments are single semester opportunities only with no guarantee of future appointments.
