MSSU is currently seeking candidates for a tenure track Assistant Professor Position in the Nursing Department starting August 2023 in Joplin, Missouri.

Successful candidates should be prepared to teach didactic and clinical courses or have demonstrated expertise in medical-surgical or pediatric nursing. Other specialty areas of study may be acceptable. The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and advising at the undergraduate level. A master's degree in nursing or nursing specialty is required; a doctoral degree in nursing or nursing specialty is preferred. Candidates who are ABD or within 2 years of obtaining a doctoral degree will be considered. An unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Missouri or a compact state is required. Faculty approval from the Missouri State Board of Nursing must be obtained prior to an offer of employment.
