Job Summary
The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for creating and curating consistent, meaningful content for all social media platforms in support of Augusta University's brand strategy and standards, as well as assisting in coordinated brand-level social media campaigns across the university. This candidate is a quick-thinker and problem-solver and works strategically to complete projects.

Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:

Manage Socials - Manages social media projects from conception to full execution efficiently and effectively. Crafts and curates engaging content for all social media platforms, including writing, photo and video content. Uses analytical tools to monitor and evaluate the university's social media presence and performance.

Market Research - Implements new strategies based on research regarding latest industry trends, as well as through detailed analytics reports.

Brand Management - Ensure proper usage and implementation of brand standards and acts as a brand manager for enterprise.

Collaboration - Collaborates with internal and external teams on social media content to support the brand strategy. Works collaboratively and appropriately communicates with superiors and staff. Maintains departmental service.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, creative writing or related field and three years of related work experience, OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Extensive knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, trends and algorithms.

SKILLS
Experience in decision-making concerning complex or sensitive content.

ABILITIES
Strong written and verbal communications across all levels of engagement

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Some work outside normal business hours may be required)
Pay Grade: 14
Salary: Minimum $36,197/year - Midpoint $40,000/year
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
