Overview:

The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning in July of 2023. We are seeking applicants with broad expertise in biomedical sciences, with a specialization in immunology, epidemiology, molecular biology or biotechnology.

This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching duties may include immunology, epidemiology, physiology, biotechnology, and specialized courses based on their expertise.

The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in active research related to one of the following fields: immunology, epidemiology, physiology, or molecular biology, and to mentor both undergraduate and graduate students in the BMS Department. Additional responsibilities include academic advising to undergraduate students in the Biomedical Sciences programs.

The Biomedical Sciences department is part of the School of Health Sciences. The Quinnipiac University School of Health Sciences offers a comprehensive spectrum of health science programs designed to address the evolving health needs of a diverse society. Responsibilities:

  • Teach a variety of immunology, epidemiology, physiology and biotechnology, lecture and laboratory courses based on their expertise
  • stablish a successful line of research and engage/mentor undergraduate and graduate students
  • Academic advising of undergraduate and graduate students
  • Engage in university service appropriate to interests
  • Education Requirements:

    • PhD in a biomedical science (immunology, epidemiology, physiology, molecular biology) or a closely related area required

    Qualifications:

  • Appropriate post-doctoral experience
  • Teaching at college level preferred
  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community
