Job Summary: Responsible for all clinical aspects of the educational program, including: management; administration; continuous review, analysis, and revision; planning; development; and general effectiveness of the clinical portion of the program. Works collaboratively with and is accountable to the program director, department chair, and deans. There will be a minimum of 40% overall administrative release time for the academic year to perform the administrative responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree in related field and 2 years of experience and must hold ARDMS credential.

Hiring Range: $53,088 - $67,463

Job Specific Task List:

Standard

  • Works collaboratively with the program director to correlate clinical education with didactic instruction, to ensure overall program effectiveness, and to ensure that program requirements are successfully completed.
  • Works collaboratively with the clinical affiliates to support a continuing positive relationship, and to provide effective learning environments for students.
  • Assists with program accreditation, review, evaluation, and course assessment. Assists with budgeting process; recommends equipment and supply purchases.
  • Conducts clinical instructor/preceptor workshops/meetings and program orientations; coaches and mentors clinical instructors/preceptors/faculty to enhance program retention and completion; evaluates effectiveness of instructors/preceptors. Advises and evaluates students; reviews didactic and clinical progress of students; maintains appropriate records as required by the college and accrediting, licensure, and registry agencies.
  • Attends focus group discussions, division meetings, marketing events, and open houses.
  • Serves on college committees and participates in college and community service activities.
  • Teaches courses as assigned by the program director and/or dean.
  • In Collaboration with Program Director and Department Chair:
    • Recruits clinical agencies
    • Recruits adjunct faculty
    • Assists with clinical assignment of agencies
    • Assists with clinical assignment of faculty Assures Certified Background Check compliance prior to assignment to clinical agency for both faculty and students.
  • Assures compliance with clinical agencies policies and procedures.
  • Travels to clinical sites. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Coordinate, plan, organize, and instruct academic courses according to approved course syllabus.
  • Provide high quality and consistent academic instruction to students.
  • Provide high quality academic support and advising to students.
  • Keep students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements.
  • Keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.
  • Maintain accurate and complete scholastic records, including attendance records.
  • Maintain scheduled office hours.
  • Ensure that assigned classes are held as scheduled.
  • Organize and maintain class work and assignments.
  • Strive for the qualities delineated in the criteria for faculty evaluation used by the college.
  • Be thoroughly familiar and comply with all college policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Interact with and respond to students in an effective and professional manner to maintain a positive learning experience and environment.
  • Work in a professional, collegial, and team-oriented manner.
