Position Description
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock is seeking a Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrician to join the newly formed Relational Health Center at Covenant Children’s in conjunction with Texas Tech Psychiatry.

Exciting opportunity for a Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrician to join our practice and join a  collaborative, multi-disciplinary effort with Texas Tech Psychiatry, Texas Tech Pediatrics, Texas Tech University child-serving departments, StarCare Specialty Health System and Covenant Children’s Hospital as they strive to meet the relational, mental, behavioral, developmental, and psychological needs of the children served in the West Texas/Eastern New Mexico region.   We are committed to delivering the highest quality of care, while providing our clinicians with an exceptional personal lifestyle!

The Relational Health Center will have a myriad of services accessible for patients including Child and Adolescent Psychiatry services on site, Psychology services, Social Worker, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Triple P Parenting, Neuropsychological testing, support staff for prior authorizations, and nursing support.

Major/Essential Functions
Diagnosing and developing treatment plans for primary care physicians to follow for children with common developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, genetic syndromes, and high risk NICU graduates. 
 Review of appropriate school documentation regarding children with recommendation and communication of appropriate interventions and accommodations for them.
 Fantastic schedule – 3-4 clinic days with adequate time allowed for review and documentation of encounters; 1.5–2hour time slots for new patient encounters.
 Education for medical students, pediatric residents, and child/adolescent psychiatry fellows.
