Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Position Summary:

Reports to the JHHS Program Manager II; works in conjunction with the Admission Services Managers to develop and integrate departmental specific training programs for the Registration Staff including orientation of new employees, writing of protocols, and system enhancements' manuals. Train employees in the cashier's office, Admissions, L & D, and ED environments on their respective job duties in the various positions and on new operational processes. Also, facilitates the training of registration, managed care, and information systems.

Education/Work Expreience:

Work requires a professional level of educational development as normally acquired through the completion of an Associates degree in Communication, Education or a field related to Emergency Medicine and/or Healthcare Administration. A minimum of three years of The Johns Hopkins registration process and training or teaching experience can be substituted for education.

Proficiency in MS Office applications, copier, fax machine, scanner and all based computer-based systems including registration, billing, and insurance eligibility systems

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Require a level of knowledge in developing and coordinating training programs for Emergency Medicine and/or healthcare administration (as normally acquired through completion of Associate degree in a related field or accepted years of experience).
  • Functional knowledge of a wide variety of computer applications (PC- and network-based), including Windows, departmental e-mail, word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation, and Emergency Medicine applications.
  • Applies and integrates knowledge indicated herein.
  • Demonstrate the ability to self-start activities with little background or support from others.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to be able to interact effectively with
  • all levels of management and administration.
