Research Program Coordinator
We are looking for a bright, hardworking Research Program Coordinator to join our group as an integral part of our clinical research team. The responsibilities of the position focus on administrative, regulatory, and operations support for the program. The position requires precision in documentation of clinical data, maintenance of regulatory methods, research subject and patient scheduling, and miscellaneous administrative responsibilities.




Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide for the daily operation, study visits, sample collection, data entry, and query resolution for multiple clinical research studies and grants.
  • Process clinical samples for storage and shipment including but not limited to centrifuging, pipetting, and cell isolation.
  • Train to identify, approach, and consent potential subjects in clinical research studies.
  • Collaborate with research team on scientific implementation, daily operation, and data management of multiple interventional clinical trials
  • Prepare agendas, takes and distributes meeting minutes, updates meeting specific data tables, generates study specific reports utilizing REDCap database, and reports on study efforts at routinely scheduled research group meetings.
  • Assist sponsor monitors during study audits.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and regulatory policy for the program.
  • Assist the lead coordinating supervisor and program manager in various administrative responsibilities.
  • Provide miscellaneous administrative support for the program with regard to keeping records, supply procurement, meeting scheduling, and subject and employee reimbursements.
  • Able to participate in a weekend on-call rotation to support sample processing requirements of clinical trials.
  • Required work schedule 5 days per week plus occasional on-call weekends and after hours.

Physical Requirements
  • Position requires significant mobility, ability to easily walk back and forth between university, lab, and hospital.
  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds overhead, and pickup and carry objects up to 15 pounds.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated meticulous record keeping.

Starting Salary Range: $16.75 - $23.00/hr (Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
