Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions in Physical Science and Astronomy. The successful candidate will teach one to three two-hour labs held in-person. The start date for Fall 2023 is August 15, 2023, but the Department seeks candidates for future semesters as well. Contracts may be renewed on a semester-by-semester basis pending enrollment, instructor availability, and student success. The successful candidate will hold an MS or Ph.D. in a hard science field or a master’s degree in a related field plus 18 graduate hours in a physical science/astronomy field. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, be familiar with laboratory instruction, and have experience as a teacher at the college level (or demonstrable promise thereof).Applicants are asked to send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and unofficial graduate transcripts with their application.
