Applications are invited for a temporary up to September 2024 post of a USM Project Manager within UCD Agile.

The USM is a cross University approach to services and supports delivery, which is `unified' in three ways:

• Unified in the management of services in a given office or area
  • Supports service delivery and management in a given office
• Unified between service providers in delivering a joined-up service
  • Joins up services for the service recipient Joins up services for the service providers
• Unified across the campus as a model for service delivery
  • Enables identification, delivery, management and development of services for the University

The USM project is moving to a new phase in which the UCD Programme for Operations and Services Transformation becomes the key driver for the work of the project. This role an exciting opportunity to shape the future of how we deliver services in this student and academic space, using the creativity, experience and insights gained through the USM rollout to date.

This role involves project management and change management in its delivery, as well work in the three contexts listed above, with the post holder working collaboratively with colleagues across the campus in shaping how we integrate and deliver supports and services. This is a role with significant variety, looking for the ability both to shape and deliver planned activity as well as to be responsive and creative as new opportunities or challenges arise.

The USM Project Manager is responsible for the overall programme of work, including developing, implementing and reporting on a project plan, identifying and exploring issues, bringing clarity to desired outcomes and the selection of appropriate strategies. This work involves working closely with colleagues in School and College offices, and central units., including Registry, IT Services, ALL, UCD Global etc. A services-focused role, the USM Project Manager reports to the Director of Agile who has overall responsibility for the implementation of the USM. This a temporary post starting on 01 March 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter.
