Applications are invited for a Temporary 5 year post of an Administration Support Lead within UCD School of Biology & Environmental Science.
The School of Biology & Environmental Science (SBES) is home to 31 full-time academic staff members, 30 research staff, 14 technical staff, and more than 70 PhD students. The School has a strong and highly visible research portfolio, a large number of international interactions and was awarded an Athena Bronze Award in 2019 in recognition of our commitment to addressing equality, diversity and inclusion.
SBES is currently applying for an Athena Swan Silver award and is preparing to decant all our activities from Science West to facilitate the development of Phase 3 of the Science Centre. We require a temporary (5 year) Administration Support Lead who will report into the Head of School and provide high level day-to-day administrative expertise to the School including the delivery of a highly flexible, responsive and effective service to faculty, staff, students and other key stakeholders.
The appointee will work closely with the School Executive and School Administrative team to ensure the effective delivery of the School's outreach and communications activities and will manage the School's Athena Swan application. The post will operate in an exciting and evolving environment. The appointee will have a high degree of initiative, proven project management skills and ability to lead and deliver projects from conception through to final implementation.
95 Administrative Officer II, 2010 (2013) Salary Scale 46,185 - 59,152 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
