Store Attendant

Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the following position: Store Attendant in the Department of Sports Turf and Golf Course Operations. The Store Attendant will offer assistance, experience, and product recommendation. This position will give direction to other team members when needed. Primary duties will include arranging products on the display shelves, processing payments, and keeping the store clean and orderly. Duties include, but are not limited to: · Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing purchases using credit card, CINO card, and University Transfers tenders. · Will assist with store opening and closing procedures.· Oversees that the store is opened on time, kept clean and orderly, and closed on schedule. · Will organize and display merchandise as needed for new looks.· Will check with the management for sales, or planned events happening on a weekly basis.· Create marketing strategies and campaigns for the store using social media and other university resources.· Interact with other applicable University departments to leverage the store for the recruitment of future students.· Performs other duties as assigned.· Develop ways to create high-level customer experiences that enhance loyalty and deliver measurable results by identifying creative solutions and embracing change when necessary.· Ensure standards for quality, and health and safety are met by providing a safe and clean store environment for all patrons. Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Relevant retail experience is also required. Applicants must have a valid drivers license. This position is located and will report to Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
