Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Student Financial Aid - Boca Raton, Fl.

Summary of Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the administration of financial aid for students in the health professions.

  • Analyzes and evaluates financial aid information of prospective and current students and determines eligibility for financial aid and awards to students.

  • Reviews and processes Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeals and requests for Professional Judgement.

  • Makes final decision as to student's eligibility for financial aid for assigned students based on alpha division.

  • Responsible for the organization, filing, and storage of records for students in the health professions.

  • Assists with front desk staffing during peak time, counselor for the day, or as needed.

  • Review and process weekly financial aid reports such as negative need and over budget reports.

  • Performs financial aid outreach presentations and workshops within the local community to include but not limited to local public high schools.

  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required. Higher Education student financial aid experience and/or customer service experience is preferred.

Customer service experience is required. Higher Ed student financial aid experience is preferred.

Salary:

$45,000 - $50,000 per year.

This position requires attendance of meetings and/or performing presentations on evenings and weekends as required.
