Organizational Unit Overview:Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is a 40-year-old medical school with a strong primary care orientation. The school established a three-fold mission in 1974 that continues to serve as a guiding framework for our overall educational efforts:
- To increase the supply of primary care physicians to serve the state
- To improve the health status of citizens in eastern North Carolina
- To enhance the access of minority and disadvantaged students to a medical education
Brody is a national leader in family medicine, ranking No. 1 in North Carolina and No. 2 nationally in the percentage of graduates who choose careers in family medicine, based on the 2017 American Academy of Family Physicians report on MD-granting medical schools. Brody ranks in the top 10 percent of U.S. medical schools for graduating physicians who practice in the state, practice primary care and practice in rural and underserved areas. Brody graduates currently practice in 83 of North Carolina’s 100 counties.
The Brody School of Medicine was first appropriated funds from the General Assembly in 1974. Under the leadership of former Chancellor Leo Warren Jenkins, the first class of 28 students enrolled in 1977.
Under the leadership of Dean and Executive Dean, today Brody School of Medicine has a student body of about 470 students and around 450 faculty members and researchers.Job Duties :
This position will support the physician compensation plan and implementation within the faculty practice plan with ECU Health. The position gathers, filters, and manages the multiple data sets to fulfill the management of the compensation plan.
(50%) Support the Compensation & Data Analyst
Works closely with the Compensation & Data Analyst to audit, monitor and analyze the Faculty Compensation Model to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare detailed minutes for Faculty Academic Compensation Committee Meetings and decision summaries to be reviewed prior to delivery to the appropriate departmental leadership.
- Maintain Flow of automated e-mail responses to clinical departments in Power Automate/ SharePoint.
- Provide data for analyses and presentations of complex provider compensation plan.
- Complete clinical reconciliation of provider schedules.
- Participate in gathering and organizing monthly submissions of CARTs allocations of time to be loaded into the compensation model.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Faculty Compensation Plan and Clinical Faculty Compensation Model.
- Maintain and help develop ad hoc Power BI Reports and Dashboards and tools as they relate to Physician Compensation
- Maintain data confidentiality as appropriate.
(40%) Support the Clinical Operations Team and Clinical Departments
Analyze and provide reports of operational metrics in Excel, SharePoint or other as instructed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Power BI Dashboards and Reports currently supported by Clinical Operations to Clinical Departments, update and troubleshoot as needed.
- Implement new Power BI Dashboards as requested across clinical departments.
- Multi-tasks across competing projects and priorities.
- Provide support in running monthly reports necessary to create monthly Management Operations Review Dashboard
- Compiles data for reporting, reconciling and tracking purposes from various information systems. Provides supporting documentation to substantiate data reported.
- Coordinate scheduled activities as needed.
(10%) Ad hoc reporting
- Reasonably research and provide data as requested in report format with guidance.
- Prepare presentable reports from flat data.
- Efficiently gather data for reports with many sources.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. For management roles, a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience is required.
