SummaryThe Associate Director of Leadership Learning has primary responsibility for the education, training, development and engagement of student leadership programs and initiatives. This position advises peer leadership programs and the international leadership honorary Omicron Delta Kappa. The Associate Director coordinates the campus-wide university and student affairs annual celebration of student leadership Crest Awards. This position supervises undergraduate, graduate, and grant-funded Leadership Educator in Residence positions. The Associate Director oversees the development and implementation of leadership learning initiatives, as well as serves as a liaison to and central hub of campus-wide resources and opportunities for students. This position coordinates the Tulane Leadership Educators’ Collective, a professional development and networking resource for faculty and staff across Tulane’s campuses. Additionally, this position assists in the facilitation of office sponsored programs. Some evening and weekend work is required.
Required Qualifications·Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of related Student Affairs or relevant experience
OR
·High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 9 years of related Student Affairs or relevant experience
·Master’s Degree in Leadership Development, Student Personnel, College Student Development, Higher Education Administration, or a related field
·Demonstrated expertise in leadership education, training, and development
·Knowledge of student leadership development theory and models, as well as student learning pedagogies and assessment
·Skills in effective training and development
·Knowledge of best practices, self-awareness, and thoughtful practice of culturally relevant leadership learning and teaching methods
