Description:

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (Section of Child Psychiatry) is seeking a full-time postdoctoral fellow to join a 21-year intervention study, Bucharest Early Intervention Project (BEIP), which examines the long-term effects of foster care as an alternative to institutionalization The position will work under the supervision of Dr. Charles Zeanah, with additional mentorship by other researches associated with the project. 

Duties:

  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and reports.
  • Conduct data analysis using appropriate modeling.  
  • Collaborate on multi-scholar research initiatives, and have lead responsibility for discrete components of the larger research program, all while under the mentorship of a senior or principal investigator.
  • Problem-solve research challenges and model development, as applicable.
  • Prepare complete documentation of research activities for reference purposes, including following applicable data management protocols.
  • Analyze, interpret, and document research findings for publication.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Developmental or Clinical Psychology or a closely related field
  • Strong scientific writing skills
  • Strong background in advanced statistics
  • Ability to bring projects from conception to publication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work within a team structure
