Position Summary:

  • Research evidence-based coaching models, to support teachers and design instruction that targets student outcomes and success.

  • Model best practices in curriculum design, instructional methods, and classroom management skills in the context of multicultural and multilingual settings.

  • Collect and use data to drive instruction as well as to inform school-wide initiatives.

  • Research, identify, and recommend instructional materials and resources to enhance the quality of instruction across multiple subjects and levels.

  • Demonstrate effective ways to infuse core content subject areas, life skills, and technology for deeper learning across the curriculum.

  • Apply core coaching practices and behaviors that build the foundation for effective coaching models.

  • Employ feedback and coaching conversations to foster reflection of practice and continuous growth among professionals, enhance student learning, and promote trust-based relationships.

  • Design and deliver professional learning activities.

  • Create, revise, and implement new curriculum, connecting it with classroom instruction.

  • Support the use of relevant technology and resources for optimal engagement and differentiation.

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide appropriate support and interventions that complement classroom instruction.

  • Provide administration a plan for improving students’ growth in mathematics and communicate regular updates and progress.

  • Develop mathematics activities and events to engage students, parents and teachers.

  • Serve on the School-Based and Multi-Tiered System of Support teams as needed.

  • Engage in research activities to further the school’s mission and generate advancements in teaching and learning.

  • Communicate regularly and effectively to teachers, administrations, and parents as needed.

  • Participate and engage in professional learning experiences that support professional growth and collaboration among colleagues.

  • Work effectively under pressure and meet internal and external deadlines.

  • Demonstrate a belief that all students, regardless of academic or social background, are capable of meeting high standards of performance

  • Demonstrate a commitment to supporting students in their determination to achieve their academic, career, and life goals.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in education from an accredited institution.
Valid Florida Educator’s Certification in Elementary Education.
A minimum of five years of teaching experience.
Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs.
Ability to provide coaching and mentoring to instructional staff.
Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualification:
Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Florida Educator Certification in Mathematics
Knowledge and experience in implementing math curriculum and interventions
Experience serving in a teacher leadership role.
