Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati College of Law seeks to hire an individual to fill the role of Program Coordinator in Student Affairs. Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Community Engagement, and Equity, the Program Coordinator will assist with coordinating, organizing, and creating special programs and major events to promote opportunities for students and to provide support for student organizations in order to achieve student learning outcomes and student success.

Essential Functions
  • Assist with the development and implementation of a student engagement plan to support current JD students.
  • Provide support to students as needed and assist with issues related to students’ acclimation to the College of Law.
  • Plan, organize and supervise College of Law events including, but not limited to, orientation, law student mental health weeks, award/recognition ceremonies, student workshops, diversity and inclusion trainings and programming, and general law school event programming.
  • Update the College of Law Bearcats Landing faculty/staff/student intranet pages with student affairs content as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling rooms and assisting student organizations with event planning and implementation. Draft and disseminate weekly newsletters for law students with updates and programs on behalf of Student Affairs. Maintain and manage Student Affairs social media accounts.
  • Update the student handbook and student organization policies as needed.
  • Utilize CONCUR to coordinate travel arrangements on behalf of Student Affairs and student organizations and process expense reports and reimbursements.Provide administrative support for the Office of Student Affairs. Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to, file creation and maintenance, managing the office phones and email account, preparation of agendas and minutes, drafting correspondence, and greeting visitors. Maintain effective communication with students and academic personnel within the College and university.Participate in professional development activities to ensure professional growth needed to adequately meet the position needs.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience.
