Southern Wesleyan University seeks instructors for upcoming adjunct position openings in History. We are especially interested in instructors who can teach US and World History in traditional or online formats.

This teaching opportunity is currently available and is located on the university's main campus in Central, SC.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teaching undergraduate students in a specific field of expertise
- Implementing lectures, online discussions, and assignments
- Grading assigned papers, quizzes, and exams
- Assessing grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations
- Analyzing and reporting student data in accordance with the university’s Quality Enhancement Plan
- Advising students on how to be successful in class
- Staying updated on innovations and changes within their course field
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education. Minimum requirement is a Master’s Degree, with at least 18 hours in the applicable discipline.
- Teaching Experience. Teaching experience at the college level preferred.
- Face-to-Face Requirements. The professor must meet minimum face-to-face instruction hour requirements for all in-person classes.
- Technology. SWU is committed to maximizing the use of technology in its daily operations and in achieving its strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and familiar with the use of technology within the academic environment including distance learning and learning management systems. The adjunct must have the technological capabilities to operate within the online environment, including being comfortable using Teams conferencing software.
