The successful candidate at times will engage in university research and publication of research findings and participate in service commitments at the university and community level. Additionally, the assistant professor will meet community and university related obligations. Responsibilities:•Teach and develop undergraduate level courses Preference will be given to candidates with teaching interests in criminal justice and who can teach courses throughout the curriculum.•Engage in, produce, publish and present findings at professional conferences on issues related to criminal justice, and other closely related criminal justice areas.•Participate in service commitments within the department, division, university, communityand the profession.•Perform other responsibilities requested by supervisor.Required Education and Experience:•Master's degree in Criminal Justice or Criminology discipline.•One year of undergraduate or graduate teaching experience.Preferred Education and Experience:•Preference will be given to candidates with a dynamic and innovative Criminal Justice teaching/research agenda, evidence of obtaining grants/other external sources of funding and published research manuscripts in high impact peer-reviewed journals.•Criminal Justice practitioners are encouraged to apply.
