The position of Transfer Coordinator performs credit evaluations for transfer coursework, maintains data in Banner and Transfer Evaluation System (TES), and continues to build the bank of data in the Student Information System (SIS).   This is a full time, on-campus position; position will be reviewed for continuance and/or revision after two years.  Generous benefits include health, retirement, considerable time off and access to multiple tuition programs for self and dependents.  

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform credit evaluation for admitted, deposited, and current students working with the Registrar’s Office, Admission staff, department chairs and faculty; maintain communications regarding prospective and deposited students; confirm transfer equivalencies; advise deposited and current students regarding transfer credit; prepare transcripts for evaluation

     

    Maintain course equivalencies and institutional information in Banner and TES; data entry and maintenance; manage information in TES system; maintain credit by exam equivalencies

     

    Continue to build transfer equivalency data targeting Illinois institutions; work with chairs/directors and Registrar on course evaluations; track progress in Banner and TES; assist in determining high volume institutions

     

    Advising current students on using the Transferology Lab tool and finding equivalent courses; communicating with chairs about electives or repeats, and courses that need to be approved for major; process requests for transfer/TOC forms; assist in gathering and maintaining documentation of second language proficiency for new international students

     

Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor’s preferred

     

    One year of related experience; knowledge of best practices in transfer processes, course equivalency and articulation

     

    Experience with SIS systems and Microsoft products
