Position Summary Guidelines: The newly found Lewis School of Health Sciences has four existing graduate programs (bioethics, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and physician assistant) and is launching an undergraduate degree program in healthcare. As the world is rapidly changing, pedagogy needs to adapt and our goal is to be a leader in the delivery of healthcare education. The assistant professor (visiting) will be primarily responsible for collaborating with faculty and programs to develop and teach curriculum around human anatomy and physiology, healthcare management, or evidence based clinical decision making with an emphasis on information literacy, data analytics, and clinical applications. The majority of teaching responsibilities will be upper level undergraduate courses along with some involvement in graduate level instruction in the area of expertise.
General Purpose:
This position resides in the Lewis School of Health Sciences and will serve as a core teaching faculty for the healthcare major. Additional responsibilities will include undergraduate advising, mentoring, service, curriculum development, and participation in Lewis School events.
Remote Workdays: This is a full time, on Campus, position with zero remote workdays.

Education:
Minimal Qualifications: ABD or Master’s degree and five years of experience in the area of healthcare management, data analytics, evidence based clinical decision making, anatomy, anthropology, biology, physiology, exercise physiology, or clinically relevant field related to occupational therapy, physical therapy, or physician assistant.
Preferred Qualifications: Terminal degree in the area of healthcare management, data analytics, anatomy, anthropology, biology, physiology, exercise physiology, or clinically relevant field related to occupational therapy, physical therapy, or physician assistant.

Minimal Experience:
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to successfully engage with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Application of disciplinary knowledge to clinical setting
- An academic with knowledge of curriculum development, assessment, experiential education, and inter-professional education
- Experience in strategic planning and development of new programs
- Knowledgeable about opportunities in service learning, research, and experiential learning for undergraduates students.
- Possesses negotiation and conflict management skills while maintaining a commitment to the overall success of the university
