ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Warehouse Logistics
Receives, tags, and labels IT assets including personalcomputers, servers, software, networking hardware, audio-visual and relatedequipment. Ensures equipment is installed where intended and documentation ismaintained, including logging of serial numbers with project and purchaseorders. Ensures College procedures are followed on install and deliveryequipment. Assists with liquidating assets by collecting, storing, processingand delivering equipment to liquidators. Develops and maintains inventory forthe warehouse and updates it accurately and timely for all stockroom items.Participates in various inventory projects to help enter data in inventorytracking system following guidelines. Helps with spot checks and inventoryingequipment on campus. Follows and develops schedule to inventory locations, asneeded.

Clerical & Financial

 
Ensures purchase orders (POs) and blanket purchase orders(BPOs) are created timely and end users and stakeholders are kept informed.Obtains quotes to ensure competitive pricing. Checks for terms and conditionsfor each purchase of software/maintenance/service requested. Works withvendors, end users and internal IT teams to price appropriate software andhardware, for maintenance, and for support or other needs. Processes equipmentreturns to vendors and addresses other issues related to equipment orders andreceiving. Coordinates with liquidation vendor to ensure that equipment isproperly removed and disposed of per college policy and procedure.

Moves & Customer Service

 
Works with various IT groups to help with office moves andany other equipment moves, as necessary, for all campuses. Supports ITstrategic planning by supplying and maintaining an accurate list ofinventories. Helps with Physical and Compliance audits, as required. Trains asbackup to other IT Asset Management technicians, as required.

USUAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

frequently stands, walks, stoops, kneels, and balances. Employee frequently uses hands to handle and feel
and reaches with hands and arms. Employee converses verbally with others. Employee frequently lifts
items up to 50 pounds such as boxes of paper, computer equipment, racks and shelving. Employee
regularly uses close vision at 20 inches or less, and occasionally uses color vision.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal warehouse working conditions, with occasional exposure to dirt and dust. Employee is occasionally
exposed to minor cuts, burns, or other incapacitating injury and risk of electrical shock, with exposure to
airborne particles. Works near moving parts. Regular exposure to noise typical of business offices. Work will
be done completely on campus. There will be minimal to no remote work.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: Multiple OS environments; technical equipment components and functions; technical equipment installation processes; standard office practices and procedures within area of specialization; asset management and procurement procedures; servers; personal computers; supporting software.Skills in: excellent verbal and written communication; organization; customer service; general typing; application of job-related computer software and equipment.Ability to: operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts; manage and coordinate multiple equipment installation and inventorying projects; develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors, students, telephone users and the general public; maintain confidential and sensitive information; use good judgement; effectively work with persons of varying cultures and diversity; problem solve effectively; maintain accurate and complete work records.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.
One (1) year of experience working in an IT Asset Management or warehouse logistics. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
