Job Summary This position is responsible for general maintenance & repairs and will apprentice with the locksmith to learn about the installation, repair and maintenance of campus doors and locks along with our key system. Success in this position ensures safe and well-maintained facilities for students, employees, and visitors.Responsibilities- Performs general maintenance and repairs. (50%)Installs banners.Changes light bulbs.Changes batteries in smoke detectors.Cleans off roofs and gutters.Assists with various campus set-ups.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.More than one year of related experience required.Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Knowledge of general repair and maintenance.Knowledge of relevant construction codes.Knowledge of general maintenance hand and power tools.Knowledge of doorway installation, repair and maintenance principles.Knowledge of lock installation, repair and maintenance.Knowledge of security systems.Knowledge of department policies and procedures.Skill in the operation of job-related tools, vehicles and equipment.Skill in the fabrication of parts and tools.Skill in oral and written communication.
