Applications are invited for a Fixed term post until July 1st 2024 of a Research Assistant within UCD School of Agriculture & Food Science.

The Nutritional Metabolomic Research Group led by Prof. Lorraine Brennan is seeking a Research Assistant to work on the Health Research Board (HRB) US-Ireland funded project `Food based biomarkers, diet quality and cardiometabolic health'. The successful candidate should have a background in analytical chemistry and experience in using and running an NMR spectrometer. The role will support researchers with all laboratory aspects of the project including biological sample preparation for metabolomics analysis, statistical analysis and reporting.

The candidate should possess the following skills; good laboratory skills, time management and good organisational skills. They will also need to prepare reports and present results at project meetings. The candidate will need to able to work as part of a team but also independently. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary research team.

Salary Range: 28,701 - 35,716 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
