Under general supervision from a designated administrator, assist in the planning and coordination of administration and/or operational activities of substantial variety and complexity for two large academic departments in the Lindner College of Business: Operation, Business Analytics, & Information Systems (OBAIS) and the Management Department.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule pending department approval.
This position is a two-year appointment with the ability to extend based on performance and departmental need. FTE for this position can range from 75%-100% FTE (30-40 hours) and will be agreed upon with the finalist for the position.
Essential Functions- Gather and evaluate information (e.g., course syllabi, course evaluations).
- Assist with the hiring of teaching and research assistants.
- Coordinate the use of facilities and equipment and assist with department events (e.g., meetings, speakers, social gatherings).
- Perform research concerning procedures and practices, identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- Assist administrator in the interpretation of policies and procedures.
- Coordinate personnel transactions.
- Review, reconcile, and monitor expenditures on supplies, equipment, etc.
- Perform other related duties based on departmental need.
- Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate's degree with three (3) years’ experience; -OR- five (5) years’ experience.
- Experience must be in high-level administrative support.
