Position Summary

The AV Technical Support Assistant works under the direction of a senior staff member(s) and provides on-site basic technical support of audio-visual (AV) equipment and computer workstations in classrooms and administrative areas.

The individual will assist in: troubleshooting and resolving issues, delivering and setting up of equipment and performing basic software installations and upgrades. The individual will also assist with management of inventory including receiving of goods, AV stock room management and providing inventory updates.

Individual must be able to work a flexible schedule, including regularly-scheduled evening and weekends in order to accommodate the needs of the College.

Individual must have ability to work collegially with a culturally diverse group of students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, required. Must possess valid drivers license

Training/certification in related area(s) -OR- minimum of 6 months related work experience, required.

Working knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including operation and troubleshooting, required.

Working knowledge of desktop computers, Zoom, and Teams required.

Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation and manufacturer’s guides.

Strong customer service orientation.

Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
