Job Summary

This position requires great flexibility it operates on a 24/7 basis. Performs security duties for the protection of AMSC property, personal property and personal protection. Duties are performed under the general supervision of the Fiscal Affairs departmental leadership and requires work during morning, day and evening hours; weekends and holidays. In addition, daily responsibilities may include securing doors, escorts, safeguarding the physical facility, students, faculty, staff and visitors. The incumbent must be able to follow directions of the shift supervisor and may be called on to assist in campus emergency matters.

Required Qualifications

Applicants applying for this position should have a high school diploma, valid driver license is a condition of employment. Individual must have a good moral and ethical character as determined by a pre-employment background investigation.

Proposed Salary

The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience within the budgetary parameters of the college and of the University System of Georgia. The University System offers an excellent benefits package, including sick leave accruals, paid holidays, life and health insurance, and retirement plans.
