Job Summary

This position performs accounting duties in support of the oversight and management of university grants and travel.

Responsibilities
    Administers the university’s travel and expense module. (35%)Adds new employees.Adjusts workflow.Checks budget information.Processes reimbursements and cash advances.

    Administers university grants. (25%)Administers grant budgets.Prepares grant reports.Processes invoices and draw-downs.

    Coordinates other assigned university functions. (25%)Oversees the general operations of the campus Post Office.Serves as the state purchase card holder for the department. Serves as the accounting liaison to the GSW Foundation.

    Performs a variety of related duties. (15%)
Required Qualifications
    Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a bachelor’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the objectives and functions of the department, usually interpreted to require three or more years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Knowledge of University System of Georgia policies and procedures.Knowledge of grant management principles. Knowledge of university policies and procedures.Skill in decision making and problem solving.Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.Skill in oral and written communication.
