Development Director
The Coastal Carolina University (CCU) Advancement and Alumni Engagement division are excited to add a fundraising professional to the team as a Development Director. The Development Director will assist donors with accomplishing their philanthropic goals and ambitions through a relationship with Coastal Carolina University; secure major gifts that support both CCU students and the academic priorities of the university, and will be responsible for identifying new prospects, as well as managing and cultivating relationships with existing major gift donors. A donor commitment of $25k or more is considered major gift at CCU.
As Coastal Carolina University is in the planning stages of its first ever comprehensive campaign, this is an exciting time to join the Advancement and Alumni Engagement team and previous campaign experience is a plus. In anticipation of the campaign, CCU engaged with a consulting firm to provide an assessment and continual counsel over the past year in addition to a comprehensive wealth screening and data analysis of the university database. This provides the Advancement and Alumni Engagement team with ratings on an individual’s comprehensive wealth, their propensity to give, and knowledge of overall engagement with the university, all of which will be available to support to new Development Director.
The Development Director will be expected to maintain an existing portfolio of approximately 100-125 donors and prospects, and generate new ideas to increase contributions and encourage donor loyalty. An ability to empathize with donors and communicate our organization’s needs and priorities is critical.
Duties
