The University of Tennessee’s Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Administrative Assistant with Center for Global Engagement. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. Please see job specifics below and if you have any questions please email [email protected].
Qualifications
Length of assignment is 2-3 months and the work schedule is Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. The pay rate is $19/hour.Primary job duties are: pay invoices, prepare p-card reports, reconcile ledgers, ensure timely entry and approval of payroll, maintain effective e-mail correspondence, complete tasks according to established deadlines. Additional job duties: assist with special projects such as data gathering, equipment inventory, and computer replacement program Skills and abilities that enable success include: experience working in a business office environment, knowledge of general accounting practices, proficiency with UTK systems such as IRIS, maintain organized work environment, initiate self-directed learning and ask questions when necessary, demonstrate respectful, professional and effective collaboration with variety of individuals in CGE, departments across campus as well as external vendors.
